In silico Analysis of Virulence, Resistance Genes and Phylogeny of Helicobacter pylori Strains from Different Continents

Objective: Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) is a bacterium that infects the gastric mucosa of 50% world population. It known different regional treatment practices used against infections H. affect both expression virulence and antimicrobial resistance genes, giving bacteria geographic differentiation. The aim this study was to perform in silico analysis virulence, genes phylogeny strains obtained from people living continents. Material Method: Complete gene sequences 18 six continents were downloaded National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) database. strains, analyzed by CSI phylogeny, CARD VFanalyzer, respectively. Results: African most distant identity European strains. A2147G single nucleotide polymorphism associated with clarithromycin detected South American Asian origin. determined differentiated total 95 related under eight headings. cagA, cagE, cagL vacA found all Asia. Conclusion: In conclusion, our demonstrated whose data collected continents, differ each other terms similarities there serious difference especially genes.

Rapid PCR detection of Helicobacter pylori-associated virulence and resistance genes directly from gastric biopsy material.

We have developed a PCR-based method to detect macrolide resistance and the virulence gene cagA in Helicobacter pylori within 24 h, thereby improving the lengthy process of culture-based approaches. Total DNA was prepared directly from stomach biopsy specimens. The procedure proved to be rapid and reliable and could be utilized for diagnostic purposes.
